5G might have slight impact on drones, when widely adopted. 5G opts for wider use of directional antennas, higher frequencies and general decrease of the area polluted by transmission to a specific device. So 5G will decrease EM pollution, especially in cities. This should allow for slight increase in range within cities (though realistically it will probably be nullified by increase in the number of network-capable devices).

The major effect is that it will require a lot more cell towers to bash in to for pilots who are not paying attention.
