That's interesting. Though the signal losses where mostly at the 1000 feet mark, where priort to update, I got to 1376 feet, with a good video feed, now it disconnects and screen goes black or video cuts off all together. I also heard the firmware can't be downgraded from this revision.

Probably your right, but they can lodge a complaint with the independent police complaints commission, whether they can sue for wrongful arrest I don't know. The problem here is that as soon as they where arrested, their faces where slapped in the paper and their characters defamed.

Personally I would have said that the problem is where your flying your bird. Though I am by no means an experience pilot. The reason being is that the Phantom standard works on Wifi, and with you flying close to houses, you are likely to get interference from the houses and home wifi networks...

If the pilot was filming for the occasion, then surely the "fan" should be liable for criminal damage?

Looks like the remote fits fine in that particular case, as there are even pictures of the case with them inside. Looking at it, my trans won't fit with the mount I have on it at the moment.
