Someone shot my camera what do I do?

Is the OP in the US? If so, drones are considered aircraft according to the NTSB and subject to FAA rules. The guy shot at an aircraft. Seems to me this is a federal crime. Maybe you can use that fact to be reimbursed even if the legal system doesn't help.

Phantom Pilots in or around Tucson AZ.

The BLM has reopened the Las Cienegas NCA around Empire Ranch. My flying buddy is working Saturdays so we don't have anything planned at the moment. There is a roundup at Empire on Oct 28th so that is a good day to stay away. Also here is the meetup group calendar: Calendar - Tucson RC...

P34k won't always connect to remote & more oddities

Thanks. The alternating between Inspire and P3-4k happens when no other drone is on. At one time I thought it was because Go 4 was starting on its own and interfering with Go. I have forced stop all drone related apps but the issue continues to occur intermittently. You may be right about the...

P34k won't always connect to remote & more oddities

Both myself and a flying buddy have had issues with the opening screen when trying to fly our P3-4k's. the device screen will alternate between the Inspire and the P3-4k. All other apps have been forced off and WiFi shows a connection. If I tap the "Camera" button at the right instant and it...

    DJI announcement Oct 11?

Ok, ok I'll tell. Stop tickling me. It's an 8k camera mounted on a dirigible and propelled by air jets instead of propellers. Downside is it requires hydrogen to provide the needed lift. And there is no warranty expressed or implied. New App displays a no smoking zone.

Yes, Aqua Caliente, the park destroyed when the government improved it! The spring is almost dry, I haven;t seen deer there since it was improved, Since they specify "tightrope" rather than slackrope, perhaps you could fly a drone there if standing on a slackrope. Are you in the national...

Anyone switch from P3 4K to Spark?

I recently got a Spark and I love it! Flight control is responsive but not overly aggressive, video is good. My favorite function is tripod mode for really smooth video. I have shot some footage in riverbeds under trees using tripod. The forward obstacle avoidance has worked flawlessly. The...

A couple of us are still learning about our P34k, P4, and Spark. We try to get out at least twice a month to the wide open areas of Empire Ranch and Gardner Canyon but also hit Redington Pass and the Federal campsite. Let us know when you get back. There is also a Meetup group, td

It just flew away! - <correction> it didn't fly away at all.

Hey! I like it. Maybe there should be an official FAA abbreviation for "no, no to fly." NNTF might be easier for "experienced pilots" to understand. That and of course RTFM! :)

It just flew away! - <correction> it didn't fly away at all.

Just a side note here. Click on AirMap at the location this "experienced pilot" was flying: AIRPORT TREASURE COAST INTL requires FAA and airport notification, flying above 300 ft is hazardous +1 772 462 1727 Check out Google Earth. He was flying in the direct flight path of runway 32...

At first I thought someone had used stick-on letters or some how added "Tightrope Walking" but on close inspection it's the same printing as the rest of the sign. There are two identical signs at the park.

Droners aren't the only criminals out there. Watch out for those pesky tightrope walkers in Tucson. :)
