The flight was fine up to then, luckily landed in mud and only damaged the gimbal. Been flying fine since. (but now not over anything)
Have since been back to location and flown fine.
Having spent some time watching these forums, I thought it did shut down.
This makes me nervous. Has anyone experienced a problem with this ?
By the way, watch the descent as the props end up in their own wash causing a lack of control.
There is a technical "vortex" type term for this.

OK I can help as I've just been through this.
The zenmuse that is specifically for the phantom 2 has a specific fixing arrangment and doesnt come with the control unit (some black box that does stuff) and lots of other cables.

What your saying (quite sensibly) is that when descending the props are causing eddies that effect the air flow over the prop blades. The quad can't rectify this loss of lift. Sounds sensible, but are you at max weight limits ?
