Regarding standard ID and the “if internet is unavailable“ provision. I wound plan on using a phone and pulling the SIM card or fly with tablet without cellular ability.

“Standard Remote identification:
If the internet is available at takeoff, the UAS would have to do the following from takeoff to landing: (1) connect to the internet and transmit the required remote identification message elements through that internet connection to a Remote ID USS; and...
As far as the control station not having internet connection available. Seems as long as you can broadcast the required info you could still fly. But that info seems to need to broadcast far enough to still be picked up by the USS Service that then gets to the internet.

True mine has that ability as well. The dji uuid is meant for aeroscope and has about a 5km range. What isn’t yet defined is if that uuid is compatible and has the range to comply with the secondary connection to the USS (UAS Service Supplier) subscription service
I’m slowly chewing through 319 pages. Interesting faa will not depend on ads-b out. The connection to the internet AND the uas independently broadcasting to a tower is what they propose. The equipment to send to a tower does not seem to be defined. Page 107 “Example Operating Scenarios“ are...
In the email I got from the faa has this graphic was attached. Interesting it depends on internet connection. So if you are flying where you have no dependable connection there maybe an issue. The FRIA will keep the hobby fields active.
When my p4p camera was not straight it was suggested to to do the gimbal calibration with it tilted on its back almost pointing straight up. It worked like a charm for me. It might for you also.
I believe only the PIC could determine the “controlled manner” though. There had been talk of force return to home. However a direct return to home could result in colision. In any event, once it is jammed there is no longer a PIC
So all new dji drones over 250g will have ads-b receivers. Likely on a path for BVLOS approval etc. It’s a good idea but they quote faa will require all manned aircraft to have ads-b transmitters by 2020. That’s not exactly correct. Only those aircraft transitioning through controlled airspace...
It seems like there could be corrosion from sea/salt spray. Do you store your quad with motor caps. Are you able to dry the motors off before putting the caps on. The caps might be storing moisture under them. I’m not a expert on wd40 but using that seems like a plausible idea.
Miami PD has got some explaining to do. Perhaps these drone jamming companies are getting a little to bold in selling there services. Finally some accountability. I for one see drone jamming as a huge liability. If there is damage to something or someone from a jammed drone the PIC will get...
