Take it like this... Knowledge is power... I also store my lipos in an ammo can... Perfect storage location... You should be ok between that and having a Lipo charging bag which is available at most RC stores...
Actually yes... we had a guy at the track smoke 2x 4s batteries in a bag... he was doing all the right things except the bag was open... so we had a bit of a flash fire...
Dont let your batteries get below 3.2v per cell...(the actual threshold is 3.0v) and try to never charge at over 1C... I...
So I learned a new "tip" today... I got in my Tarot and started building it... and found out that the "build it and its ready to fly" bs on ebay is just that... bs... it doesnt come with the particular mounting plate for the Phantom itself :evil: I guess it will be another week before I get...
The real answer lies mainly in YOU... if you balance charge every time you charge...store them properly (storage charge recommended if you arent going to use for a month) and keep them within a decent storage and use temperature then it should last you a LONG time... years...
