Full disclosure - I crashed the Phantom pretty hard a few months ago. So I replaced the casing (yes it was a lot of tedious work). Put it all back together, and everything seemed fine.
Everything connected. I could see the camera view in the DJI Go software on the controller. All was awesome.
I...
How can you tell if the RC firmware version is 'OK' with the aircraft version?
My aircraft version is the latest. Upgraded perfectly. I updated the Controller via the Go App and it says it upgraded successfully to 1.6.0 and to reboot. I do that and it says the version on the controller is...
Yes, I realize that having the latest isn't always important (or even a good idea), but not being concerned whether the controller and the aircraft are in version-sync - isn't that a potential big deal or problem waiting to happen?
Did you really mean to say that? I thought the versions really need to be in sync and not paying attention that could be really problematic. If the bird updates and the controller doesn't - that's something to be concerned about, yes?
I experienced the same thing.
The aircraft is updated via the little SD card and seems to update perfectly.
The controller is not updated any longer by using usb/sd card, but through the DJI app, and it says it's downloaded fine. then it installs fine and says it's all good. Then I reboot the...
OK, I spent a solid chunk of an evening reading this whole thread and watching both movies at the beginning. I get it. But...
I took a 290mb d-log clip from my 2.7K phantom 3 Advanced and re-encoded it as pro-res 422 via Adobe Media Encoder. It blew up 5x to 1.45gb. That sucks. I can live with...

I'm having trouble understanding what's going on with Phantom video.
I filmed some sequences that don't seem to go through Premier Pro and end up smooth even though the original .mov source captures are smooth.
Looking at the raw .mov files in Quicktime and they're very smooth - at least smooth...
After reading this thread (I'm a new Phantom owner) I can't help thinking that any noise my Phantom might make, even from my back yard at low altitude has to be WAAAY less loud than my neighbor mowing his lawn. A lawnmower (which might run for 20, 30 minutes is REALLY loud - so much I can't...
