Quick follow-up: I forgot to add that the gimbal does have some life in it since if I install the camera (turned off) and plug it in and turn on the P2...the camera does turn on and look functional. So there's some power coming through the gimbal and apparently it's sending whatever signal tells...
To answer your questions first: I'm on Windows 10 64-bit and in the USA. As for firmware, it's the latest firmware on everything pc related, and as for the P2 it's the latest firmware for everything listed in the upgrade
window, and the assistant software.
So, I tried disconnecting the gray...
Okay, back once again trying to get the H3-3D gimbal to show up in the P2 Assistant software. Below is a screenshot of the upgrade window when I have the P2 plugged in via USB and I'm logged in to DJI. If I understand you correctly, this is where I should be..logged in, at this upgrade window...
Quick follow up, and I'll check what you wrote in your last post asap. However, I did get the remote to come back to life, and oddly enough the fix was something I saw in another post. Not sure why it worked, but someone else said that you should uninstall everything on the pc, then reinstall...
Still no end of headaches. I've been using the P2 Assistant software, not the RC Assistant software as pictured in your last post, but have been logging in thru it. Signing in to DJI on their web site doesn't provide a way to download the firmware drivers directly (from what I've found), the...
Thanks for the help. I do have a DJI account and have been able to successfully update the different items when needed. After following the video, I'm at least certain that I went through the steps to reset the H3-3D gimbal exactly as directed...bridged the gold pins and had the green light...
I did some pretty thorough checking before buying the Firefly 6S, and it's been reported to work fine. The brief experience I've had with it mounted in the gimbal does appear to prove that it does work...and though some users have said they had to tweak the balance with a small coin or whatever...
Sorry about that...I had a Firefly 6S mounted and had verified that it was working, transmitting video, etc.
Fwiw, I don't know if the gimbal was okay to begin with since the props show some scuffing which makes me think the P2 is likely to have had a rough landing at some point.
However, to...
I have a Phantom 2 with Zenmuse H3-3D gimbal that I was given to test to see if the gimbal actually works. Initially, starting up the P2 without a camera installed, the gimbal seemed to twist and turn erratically, meaning that it didn't seem to settle down to what I'd expect was the normal...
It turned out to be fairly easy, using a razor blade, to scrape off about 1/8" of the black coating around the sides of the camera at the back edge where it should seat into the gimbal.. Bingo..snaps right in and fits great. As the above writer indicated, one of the buttons on the side facing...
I'm curious to know if others have experienced the problem of the Firefly 6S seeming to be a fraction too large to fit into the H3-HD gimbal. I read elsewhere in this forum that it fit perfectly, but the one I just received today doesn't, apparently. If the edges of the gimble were a bit...
For my part, I'm learning from the discussion...so thanks to all of you for that. The deciding factor at the moment may be how much money to spend before it would be smarter to just buy a newer drone (I checked prices and that's pretty realistic.) So, since I've already ordered the iOSD min and...
I appreciate the thoughts, Mark.
If I don't misunderstand what you were saying, I presume you mean that the signal to/from the original P2 controller (not the Vision series) is 2.4 ghz. I went and checked the video transmitter that was recommended for those of us trying to get an a/v signal...
