Couple of restrictions though, the bird can't have been disassembled before, and you must have the original Proof of purchase. I think it's awesome that they are standing behind the issue, since it was poor design. It's called the P2 Care Plan, google it. I happened upon it looking for a fix.

I went ahead and switched it out because I didn’t want to have to break it all back down, it worked great! There was some markings on the inside of both magnet cups (squirrel cage?) that made me think it MIGHT have worked either way. They were like clocking/calibrating marks and they matched...

Got it done a flew today! It works and it was amazing.

That unfortunately I do not know. I’ve read a lot of places that DJI Repairs are very reasonable.

From what I've read with my problem (totally different from yours, I replaced a Yaw motor) but there is a certain way to position the craft when you calibrate the Gimbal. And also the latest firmware/software has more options for centering as seen in this post:Gimble yaw centering in...

Glad I came across this, as I am replacing the yaw motor on my P4 pro when it comes in Friday... The ebay seller said that this was an "OEM P4 Pro" motor, does that make a difference at all? I'm guessing not. Mine is the "New style" motor that isn't round on the back bracket. Gimbal Yaw Motor...

Got the Gimbal Cable yesterday, still waiting on the arm and yaw motor, but bench tested just to confirm the camera even worked... and it does! Phew.

Can I ask what the P4 foam cost you?
