Why forget hand catch with the Mavic? Several videos I have seen have shown people hand-catching the Mavic. One reviewer actually said that it was easier because it was so much more stable.

I recently got into the whole drone thing with a P3A, but really like the portability, looks, abilities etc of the Mavic. I will probably give the P3A to my 10 year old for him to have fun with and get the Mavic for myself.

I think that a lot if misinformation has been carried over from the NiCad rechargeable battery. NiCad will definitely get a "memory" set and it will ruin it to "top it off". LiPo has no such issue. In fact if it is not protected from being too deeply discharged, it can be very harmful. I...

Oh I am doing that too! I just read through the thread and watched the video of the guy who didn't take into account the changes in elevation and crashed into trees. Thankfully he found it again. I own a few acres that is attached to a bunch more, so will have fun exploring those from the air...
