I bought a refurbished P4 Standard about a year and a half ago. While everything looked new the important thing is that it has flown a few dozen flights without mishap. When I read all the horror stories on the forum about the crashes and crackups I almost cringe every time I go fly!
Thanks, good info!! When I referred to electronics I simply meant powered antennas, such as 3 watts, etc. I agree that elevating an antenna causes issues such as the heavy unflexable cable that one of the others replied about. That may work on a permanent set up at home (I live in the middle...
I'm still curious as to why the people that have used these powered antennas claim they have extended their range even through heavy tree cover. The Titan brand pretty much guaranteed this to be the case. If they were charging $25 or $50 I could see them getting away with it but it seems that...
I have been reading the questions and replies to all the threads/discussions I can find relating to range extenders. I have a Phantom 4 standard and have actually flown it almost exactly 3 miles in line of sight without difficulty. This was a straight out and back flight with no obstructions...
I was certain back during the spring I had read where someone was suggesting software that allowed a Phantom 4 operator to use 2 monitors, one on the controller and the other freestanding so the pilot could concentrate on flying and the other could watch and operate the camera. I have tried all...
Welcome! I've been a member less than a year. You will find these guys and gals really helpful. I spend hours each week just reading the posts sometimes to learn and sometimes for entertainment. Anyway, if you have questions this bunch can just about always answer and explain them even if...
I noticed on the Titan website that it says the Switch unit combines the capabilities of the Conquer, Atlas and Whip units. I wonder if that means it has Omni and directional characteristics at the same time??
I've been wondering why we can't use both types of antennas simultaneously. Also, instead of only using an antenna attached to the controller why not erect one on top of a telescopic pole (I saw one on Amazon or ebay) to get some elevation. One of the ham operators on this forum mentioned he...
Thanks. The one for the P4 looks like the one I found on line. I'll be sure before I order. Some of the bad reviews on a couple of chargers has scared me, but those were mainly house and not car/mobile chargers.
Thanks. Since you've had good success with Anbee I have found one for the 4 series that charges two batteries simultaneously. I've tried to include the link...
I've been looking at Amazon and Hobby King and found one similar to this by Anbee just a lot more costly. I was actually in the P4 forum and noticed this question and somehow wound up with the P3 folks. Since you've had good experience with your brands I like sticking with something you...
Thanks! That sound like what I need to get. As mentioned before I have a phantom 4 instead of 3 but I am assuming this will work with those batteries also. Do I need to purchase a separate PSU??
