The pilot shares a measure of the blame here, he lost situational awareness and that leads to crashes in the aviation industry, having said that NO automatic system should ever result in catastrophic failure of an aircraft it is always supposed to have a failsafe mode when it fails ie return to...
I know this has been mentioned on this forum before but if anyone is looking for strobes I got mine from firehousetechnology.
Here’s what mine look like...
So what I did is emailed the president of MAAC, this is the reply I got.... in short it’s coming...the only big question is when....

I understand your frustration but as I mentioned there does need to be some provision for visitors. Are you a member of AMA?
MAAC and AMA have a long standing mutually beneficial relationship so that each can fly in the others country.

I think with the recent changes to the June 1st Canadian Aviation Regs some strides were made that actually made it better for drone pilots not worse. Eg. 75m lateral distances to objects and people down to only 30m, introduction of night flights, never permitted before, flights now permitted...
I wouldn’t be surprised if the exception from part IX of he CARs they put in place for MAAC members isn’t extended to visiting AMA members. Of course I can’t say for certain, but there has for sometime been a mutual respect between the two clubs, just a question if Transport Canada will...
I only use CSC for startup or emergency stop. Left stick down for 3 seconds is how I shut off too. I’ve noticed while on the ground moving the right stuck in different directions will actually cause the rpms of the motors to shift up and down, add in any sort tilt on the aircraft and it may...
All that is required is for you to be able to discern attitude and orientation. I know it’s probably overkill but I saw someone mention firehousetechnology Cree lights which I bought a while back and applied to my p3s.
It may be overkill but **** it looks good in the air. ?
Here is another attachment from MAAC. Items 12 and 14 seem to indicate that isn’t the case. In any case I’ve emailed MAAC For clarification to be sure.
I agree about some of the the questions regarding the basic exam....with a basic cert we aren’t allowed to fly in controlled airspace so why all the questions about tower frequencies?
I applaud the new rules though as they overall are less restrictive and more fair compared the the interim...
Do you already have a PlayStation VR? I used my psvr headset successfully with a p3standard. Had to put an HDMI splitter inline with hdmi out of iPad to defeat hdcp but it works perfectly otherwise.
Steve7777 is right at that power output those flashing lights on the adapter probably mean power overload. Without that overload protection the charger would attempt to draw too much current from the adapter and it would very quickly heat up and burn out. As for the charger Have you tried...
I know this isnt exactly what you you asked, but I used an older Apple iPad (all I had to avail) to do video out but had hdcp issues which were resolved when I put an HDMI splitter in line with the Apple HDMI out cable, the splitter dumps the hdcp. Also for goggles i used a PlayStation VR...
