I've been under the impression you could connect up your own Android/ipad to the remote via a usb/hdmi cable and run it from there as an option, has anyone tried this to be able to confirm? what alternatives are there for the P4P+ users?

What seems obvious is that there are enough folk noticing the change recently and reporting it, myself included (and yes after an update). The common factors are recent and global... based on these 2 factors I'd conclude a recent algorithm modification, most likely in our drones.
