Much appreciated Dewey! I've always been a fan of what you've done for this hobby.
Good point about the transport and maintenance, removing it does make it so much easier to deal with the gopro. I also keep it safely tucked away in my case so it's not hanging off the phantom and banging...
hi all,
even though i love the phantom as a stabilized video platform, i've found myself wanting to fly in manual mode for fun and wanted a quick way to drop the weight of the gopro and gimbal. it was becoming a hassle to take the gimbal on and off. i worked with my buddy who's designed 3d...
thanks, that was the largest group of dolphin I've seen so far!
yeah it's definitely a risk flying over the ocean but the results are worth it.
I do have a fpv setup on my phantom with iosd but I don't have full confidence flying in the googles over the water yet with all that rigging to...
we were lucky to run into a large pod of dolphin on our way back from fishing the northeast canyons..

filmed with a p1 and goodluckbuy gimbal. the gimbal has serious horizon drift issues but in this case, the content overshadows that IMO.

no more fpv camera dangling by the cable when the double sided tape fails! i've had that happen more than once and it's an interesting flight home when the phantom is too far to see.. problem solved.
i can have more made if anyone is interested- pm me.

you're going to love the photos/videos from a boat.. such a great perspective! it is unnerving at first over saltwater but that excitement makes it rewarding when you don't dunk it!

if it's like the goodluckbuy gimbal you plug your lead into a0.. you'll see it marked on the gimbal board.
it looks like you have a male to female servo lead when it should be a male to male. the lowermost pin on F2 to A0 did the trick for me on my goodluckbuy.
Hi Guys,
I've learned a lot as a lurker on this forum and finally bit the bullet and bought one of these awesome quads for myself.
I'm a few weeks in with the Phantom now and already flying it from a moving boat.. it was calm but still unnerving!
