swapped the board didnt do anything i have now booked it in with DJI now finnaly give up

yes i was referring to the sticker with the serial number on the sticker .I will however just try swapping out my friends one first if he is happy to let me try .

both of the links you have suggested are from the same person and both say phantom 3 .The part numbers of all advertised boards start with 079JC but mine starts 079JE

Does anybody know where i can get a new USB board online .All the shops i have tried contacting in the uk are closed at weekends and i cant generally phone while at work during the week . the handset is a GL300F

The person you were in communication with did not seem able to read english properly as you mentioned more than once you were asking why you get different results to the same error message on different drones .As you have said hopefully the engineer will understand .

i did find that one on ebay but it says it only works on GL300B handset mine is GL 300F i have messaged the vendor but not had a reply yet

it did not do the video to my friends ipad either which was working fine on his p3 .And likewise my ipod gave a picture fine on his handset .So i am thinking as Ansia has said there is a problem with the USB socket on the handset .I am going to give up now and send it in for repair Thank you...

I have tried to upload video of plugging in the usb but i dont seem to be able to upload it here for some reason maybe this site does not recognise mp4 video .I think you may be right here that there is something wrong with the USB sockets on the handset .I think it is time for me to give up...
