Thanks Ian but I just returned it. I spent all morning searching the interwebby and trying everything I found with no love :(
For now I'm just going to use my Asus.
Thanks Phil,
Yes that was one of the first things. The 'checkoff box' indicates I made the selection but when I exit that screen it still shows the original default selection. I go back in and my selection is still good.
I've had my Pro 4 V2 for a few months now and have had a great time with it. I first used my S6A phone then I purchased a small ASUS tablet. I happened to mention to my wife that I really wish I had gotten a bigger tablet.
I don't know who she spoke to but today a Samsung S2 (SM-T813) showed...
Thanks for the post. I have been hesitant to take mine out. It's been -3 to +4C here recently and there is some snow on the ground. I want to fly & take some photography. Will give it a go tomorrow.
Within the last 7 days I had a service issue with my Phantom, albeit a really small issue. The plastic holder piece that you snap onto the landing rails and fits over the camera failed. On one side the U shaped part simply broke when trying to attach it.
I contacted DJI service explained the...
This looks like a project that has reached quickly beyond my risk aversion level and the practicality to doing it. I appreciate the replies.
Coax cable (RG58) weighs over 1lb for even just 50' so its not really practical.
My 1st thoughts were for a 100' vertical. The IR loss at 10+ amps for...
That is one of the issues. My plan evolved into supplying 50 volts or so thru the wires and downconverting it just below the aircraft so it any heat could be dissipated in the open, not in the drone. Even so using 100 ft (200 total ft) of 18ga wire is about 1-1/2 lbs + the weight of the...
Should be easy to filter out at the aircraft end.
To tell the truth the more I look into this the less appealing it becomes. The thought of somehow the wire becomes disconnected, the power supply on the ground fails, etc is not encouraging me at all.
???
hmmm on second thought looks like I'm going to need a voltage regulator in the drone so I can supply 25+ volts or so and have it reduced inside (after what may be a 10 volt drop in the circuit)
I am an amateur radio operator and want to see if I can use the drone tethered to earth with a combination antenna wire / power feed so the battery can be eliminated. I need a battery 'shell' with connector to 'seal the hole' and provide connection to the drone circuits.
Can anyone help me? I have a project in mind that will require a dead battery. If anyone has a paperweight they would like to get rid of I will gladly reimburse you for the cost of shipping.
Please email me jerry at molaver dot org
Thanks!
As a long time digital photographer my storage needs have grown over the years. I shoot raw almost 100% of the time and rarely, if ever, delete images I have shot. Just yesterday I replaced one of my 1.5tb drives in my desktop with a 6tb WD 'Black'. That gives me a 1tb SSD, a 1.5tb WD and the...
