The 90 days at Costco is nice piece of mind though. 89 days into ownership if the camera gets screwed up (crash or whatever) you can return it. No one else gives you that.

GoPro Studio only works for video, not stills as the OP is asking about. It's one of the things that annoys me most about gopro. Since the camera takes both videos and photos, seems like it should be able to process both. :x

I use Gimp as well. It's free and it works pretty well.

I don't consider it ghetto at all. Been using this for about a month and it works absolutely perfect. I think it protects better than most of the other backpacks I've seen, and I can just pull out the insert and use the backpack for other purposes anytime I want. It's a great solution for me.

I've shot a video at 1080 30fps realized you really cannot slow it down because it gets very choppy. However I just shot one at 60fps, and slowing it down also resulted in a bit of choppiness (though not as much). I'm using iMovie and you can slow it down whatever % you want. My question...

Yes the P2 has been physically changed. There is a change to the bottom from what I have read. No one actually has one in hand to verify, but the bottom of the shell is different for sure. If you are preordering the package, you are good to go.
