I lost a new P3 SE on it's third flight. I emailed the flight logs to DJI and 3 days later they replied they would send a replacement drone and battery. Drone had a major malfunction in the hardware motherboard.
I just flew in on 13 May Cathay Pacific from HK to Cebu.
Again there are no issues with bringing in a drone. Mine is in a DJI hardcase with drone stickers on it. Customs office look at as I walk past and exit.
You want to be returning to home point with the wind behind you. I flew out into the head wind but it was stronger on the return leg of the flight.
My P3S with Argtek antenna gives me great connection at distance...
Firstly hobby operators fly under sec 336 not Part 107 which does not apply. Secondly many people launch from mountains where below the fog are more mountains. Anyone flying a plane has already crashed into them below the fog line. :) Below these clouds at 10,000 feet are several mountain...
Those shots are from a P3S using the Argtek Antenna. That way I keep signal and have most of my flights flown at max height and max distance has been 4550m or near 15,000 feet, could have gone a bit more but battery low message on app to bring the drone home and got back with 25% remaining...
You must be the village idiot who thinks pilots file flight plans to fly their planes into the sides of mountains. DJI drones are capable of 6000m altitude. How do you know what the controlled airspace is in the area the drone pilot wants to operate?
I get comments about how I should not be...
I've flown my drone at 13000 feet plus. I also fly in the mountain ranges where I live. Cold temperature for batteries is also another issue as well as wind gusts. I did use standard props they work fine. I would not suggest as a newbie taking a drone to high altitudes where firstly you might...
As you wrote you have no personal knowledge just going on hearsay. Perhaps I was lucky I only travel to the Philippines several times a year and have been doing so since the mid 1980's. You could have googled current rules before you posted telling people not to bother bringing their drones...
Where did you get that idea. I bought a P3 SE last August and it had a failure in flight and was lost in December. I emailed DJI who said it was not pilot error but a drone malfunction and they sent me a new one under warranty. I did email them my flight logs and my DJI Cloud username so they...
