With all the discussions around GEO, etc. I never upgrade to 1.4. Also helped that I've been traveling a lot lately and haven't had that much time to fly. But now I'm starting to think maybe staying at 1.3.2 isn't the worse idea if I don't want to deal with personal NFZ's, etc down the road...

Make sure you have the correct setting. There are two options, auto-land and return to home. I check mine setting before every long distance flight. Make sure it's set to return to home and that the RTH height is high enough to avoid any obstacles.

The inspire holder works great and is such an improvement. A required upgrade if you are using a full size tablet IMHO. Check B&H as they had it much cheaper than everyone else when I ordered mine.

You should be able to get far more than 3,300 feet stock, or with a windsurfer. Have you done the channel hack? If not, I'd do that and then make sure you are picking a channel that has zero interference. I don't rely on automatic channel selection anymore. I just pick a channel in my hood...
