Why are the prices different between the UK and the rest of Europe?

Hi guys,
I recently moved to France and I noticed that on most websites the prices are way more expensive than in the UK (For example the Mavic is £999 on UK websites but £1085 on French websites). It seems to be the same with other brands too, even Parrot from France! Would anyone have a logical explanation?
