Pretty new to Arial photography. Can anybody tell me what this wavy interference is and how I can prevent it?

Here is a short clip from some footage:

The props are causing shadows from the sun on the video sensor. A small hood will fix this. Lots of stuff on the forum about it. Some like to use ND filters too, but a shade will fix it.

Here are a few links from a search here...

Thanks,

I just didn't know what the cause or termonology was so didn't even know what to search for. I have seen the filters and the hoods. I think I will order a hood. Not sure about the filter though?

I have heard about Jello effect, but I didn't think this was it.

Thanks,

Kirk

Thanks. I have ordered one from Ebay and a ND filter that is adjustable. I will print that until the paid one comes.

Thanks,

Kirk

Keep in mind, putting additional weight on the camera is not recommended.
I suggest you add counter balance so you don't cause undo stress on the gimbal motors. I used stick on wheel weights.

I tried a lens hood but it would touch the ground surface when powering up. I could push it in a bit further so as it wouldn't touch the ground, but then it didn't extend past the lens to do any good. Any way around this or what's everyone doing about that??
