USB port for hooking up instruments into P3?

Greetings,

Is it possible? Has anyone tried it? I know the port is meant for data transfer/software update. But could you plug in, say, an usb probe for measuring dissolved oxygen in water? Would the usb port serve (only) as a power outlet? Or could you install software on P3 that would take the readings via the probe?

First off welcome to PhantomPilots. No, the onboard USB port is not capable of doing that. Currently it is used to download raw flight data to your computer for analysis by DJI.
