Went to Stinson Beach to get some over surf video. Stinson used to be a state beach but is now part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA). Ranger drove up and told me that drones are a not permitted in all of GGNRA. He was very nice about it. He said that since there was nobody around at that time that I could fly but, to stop when people started to arrive. Nice guy, just doing his job. This is kind of a bummer for us, since GGNRA covers pretty much the whole coast from Ocean Beach in San Francisco all he way to Pt Reyes. The law that NPS is citing is a very old and long standing one that prohibits helos, parachuting, low flights, paragliding and hang gliding in National Parks and Rec Areas. I know that there some in the legal community who feel that this law doesn't apply to us. I really hope that some kind hearted attorney will challenge them on this. Have fun out there
