I'm jazzed about my 3SE with all the features and the range, even though I haven't flown it! I'm wondering which forum I should seek answers in. It's not a Standard or a Pro or even an Advanced, so where will this new bird land in the sanctuary?

For the moment I'm going to say in standard section as it covers the P3S and the P3 4k . Thats where I will move this and find out from a Admin what they want to do .

The Phantom 3SE is a nice bird. This bird flies very stable. I speak from my own experience.

Thanks for the direction, dirkclod.

chatikib, I hope so! I thought the GPS stabilization was a good feature, as well as the RTH. What have you used your SE to do? How far have you flown before the RTH activated?

I'm flying in Europe (Netherlands) so under CE restrictions. My last long flight was 2.2 km on a heigh of about 110 meters in a open field. But still with a good connection. So till now my RTH wasn't activated.

On the same location I flew a lot with a Phantom 3 Standard and after 400 meters the RTH was already activated (that was without Argtek antenna).

It would be great if we could somehow modify it to FCC as on standard we could get even more range, sadly MP mod doesn't work on SE.

So I've finally got about a half hour in the log book. My first flight was actually indoors. The app said I had 12 sats locked and I used auto launch and man land so far; didn't want the RTH process to send it up to 30 meters in the house! Put on prop guards while I learn how not to crash into things, and bought a cheap back pack for it. It's apparently being brought by hitch hiker from OH. It's this one: Backpack for Drones and Quadcopters with Fire Resistant Lining | 22-26180 (2226180) | Distributed By MCM

I hope the link works, it's my first attempt. I paid $25 plus $8 to ship. It doesn't look like it's big enough for the prop guards, but it was cheap enough and I didn't see any others for P's with guards.

Looking forward to logging some more flight time in a big field where I don't have to be so jumpy about drifting a foot either way!
