Please Help ?? Explanation of the S1 and S2 toggle switch

I know it's probably been post before but I would really like a good explanation of the S1 S2 toggle switches. I have looked everywhere and still don't understand them, only that you flip the S2 up and down to calibrate compass ..

If you go to DJI's website, you can download the full manual. Everything is pretty well explained there....

have a look at page 26 of the manual. If you plan on using an internet forum instead of the paper manual, it's gonna take a long time to learn what is in all 75 pages....
