New f450 kit

Can anyone tell me why on the f450 kits, with the 300 series motors they have down sized the esc's to 18s instead of the 30's the old motors had....seems like this will make them run much hotter.

Can anyone tell me why on the f450 kits, with the 300 series motors they have down sized the esc's to 18s instead of the 30's the old motors had....seems like this will make them run much hotter.

It has been said it's alot more efficient. I found it odd at first but I have the E300 on my F550 and it hauls *** and has no heat issues.
