Nearly averted disaster...Autopilot

Not sure on Autopilot, but on Litchi, you can choose the entry point of an orbit. East, West, North, South, nearest point, etc. If the entry point is on the other side of the POI, the drone will fly towards it and start the orbit there. That would give the impression that the drone is flying towards the POI.

Again, just spitballing.
