Map Correction

I tried searching but I didnt find the answer I wanted so ill ask. What is map correction and AMAP (for mainland China)? Also what is "Calibrate map coordinates (for China mainland)'?

china doesn't use the same longitude and latitude system that THE REST OF THE WORLD uses

This doesn't explain the "Map Correction" option (slider), which appears even when the DJI Go 4 app is run outside of China

Does anyone know the purpose of the "Map Correction" option (in the "Find My Drone" page of the DJI Go 4 app)?
