NOAA's New Product:
nowCOAST™: NOAA's Web Mapping Portal to Real-Time Coastal Observations, Forecasts, and Warnings
Love this tool - Perfect for those of us who have micro-climates where we fly. L.A. / SoCal is my local area, and the WX here is night & day along the coast , sometimes... in as little as 5 miles, especially wind currents.
Right now in my neighborhood the winds have finally calmed to 7-10kts gusts 20kts - but in my target area for tonight, just 8 miles away, it's 18-25 / G35. Crazy!! Hope this tool is helpful to the community, regardless of your locale.
It's loaded with almost everything you can think of, including River Forecasts, Ecological Forecasts, etc.
(EDIT) I did NOT point out that it appears to be strictly desktop only at this time. It is a "mess" on a mobile device.
