I feel like this camera is comparable to the p4p camera which might make it ideal for videos that include shots from ground level.

Not even close. It's not even better than a Phantom 4/P3P. It's an action camera with quality that is good for one, but it's not all that great when you compare it to quality cameras. Just because something has 4K at 60fps doesn't mean the quality is good. Also, the Yi 4K+ offers nearly identical performance at roughly half the price.

I'm not fixed on the gopro. I currently fly the p4p and I want a good ground action camera to supplement that video.

Waterproof is required. I'll be doing a lot of work from the boat in the very near future. I need the handheld to catch what the p4p can't.

Olympus PEN F has the same sensor and is equal to (better actually) the P4P camera. That or a Panasonic GH5.

At 4 times the price I hope they are better!

Thanks for the input, but not what I'm looking for. I need something that can go on the boat, is fully submersible, and can take a few hard knocks.
