Gimble settings. "Follow vs FPV"

FPV = gimbal is locked and rolls/pitches w/ the bird. Follow compensates for the roll/pitch/yaw of the bird.

are you talking about "follow" as in the bird follows you around? or are you talking about a different functionality?
 
yeah, i read that.....but didn't get it. hence my question.
i think i understand now. The default mode of the bird is "Follow" because the gimbal moves on the 3 axes.....but you have the option to do First Person View, in which case the gimbal locks up essentially and you see the roll/etc. of the camera, as opposed to it staying steady.

right? :)

i was thinking about the 'follow me' app/software that i thought would be available in the app store by now....
 
The easiest way to picture this in my mind is in Follow mode the gimbal dampens the movement and the horizon stays stable and level in FPVmode the horizon will not be locked in as level and will follow the movement of the quad.
