FPV in photo mode

Any way to get FPV when in photo mode on GOPRO hero 3? Both of my monitors go black when set to take photos.

Set your timer to 5 seconds or more. The screen goes blank for 0.5s when it takes a picture so if you have your timer set very fast, then you'll never see anything.
Or shoot in photo+video simultaneous.
