Remove the foam from the top, put your tablet in and replace the foam, the foam comes out easy

Sorry if you seeing double, my bad, tablet has to be placed as pictured, cuz there is alot more room on the bottom, also shut it down first, I forgot once and it turned itself on.

Great tip! I have the Nvidia Shield tablet. I thought about putting it on the side with the wider bottom opening.

Tried it and It did fit (snug), but I wonder if placing a tablet in any bag near our P3 is a good thing.

I only say this because of the speakers which have magnets in them.

I wonder if this would screw up our compass?

If it does screw it up, dji should remove their loud speaker, but it's probably protected or too small. Someone here might be able to help

The motors have magnets, and the tablet is above them, that should not be a problem then?

The speaker magnet are very weak compared to your motor magnets if it was a real issue the dji would not have created a slot in the backpack to store your ipad mini 2.
