The Region 14 Applied Technology Center at ConVal High School will be hosting a Community Drone Day on Friday, May 8, 2020[1] from 9-2. Career and Technical Education (CTE) students will be instructed in various aspects of drones over the course of the school year with the goal of earning their FAA Part 107 certifications. This event is an opportunity for them to demonstrate what they’ve learned as well as to engage with other schools and the community so that everyone is better education about the career pathways associated with drones.
We are inviting local industry, postsecondary institutions, and community groups to participate by:

We are inviting local industry, postsecondary institutions, and community groups to participate by:
- Making donations of “swag,” technology, or financial resources;
- Leading a workshop or “shop talk”;
- Judging a flight simulation;
- Hosting a booth at the vendor fair to build awareness regarding what you and your company offer; and/or
- Being a school mentor and partnering with a school group as they experience the events.
