I know the firm I used to work for had specific, commercial drone insurance but have had a difficult time finding carriers. Who do the folks out there with 107 use? Why do you like them?
Cheers,

I use Hiscox insurance because that is who State Farm recommended I use.

I have been using SkyWatch. At first I did the per flight insurance but finally decided to just do monthly. Easiest way is to just download their app. You can get up to 2 million I think and can also had hull insurance to cover your drones. I did a little research when I first started and there were a couple of people in a group I am that had filed claims and had no issues. Hope this helps.
Happy flying!

Oh I wanted to add that Hiscox insures whatever I do for a business. They insure my aerial drone business, if I do construction or whatever.

Skywatch service & rates are excellent. They provide both liability (min. is $1M) and hull insurances. You get discounts based on safe flights (you upload your flight records or transfer them from AirData).

What are they charging and what is the coverage?
The company I have for my photography business insurance is based in California near LA, and is very good for my photo business - but if I want to add Drone insurance not only will it add $1,000 to the premiums, it will bump ALL my deductibles from $500 to $2500.
So, for the moment I use Verifly on a flight by flight basis.
It's not perfect, and I don't have the drone itself covered if damaged, but the Liability is the most important thing, and that is pretty flexible based on where you are flying and how much coverage you want.

I have used Hiscox for several years. Their customer service is top notch, and I can get a certificate of insurance issued for a client within hours. $1 mil general liability policy for two Phantoms (primary and backup) will run you about $400/yr. I think a single Phantom is about $300/yr. No deductible on the policy, but if you smack your drone into the side of your clients facility, not having a deductible probably isn’t going to be much of a comfort. They also have hull coverage but I don’t carry that on my policy. Hiscox has the option to pay for your policy in monthly installments, so there is little reason to not be insured.
If you are using your drone commercially, letting your clients know you have a dedicated aviation policy will also give your business an extra measure of credibility.

Fly safe.
