Advice on Litchi and my new P3A

My P3A should be in today. My current Litchi version is 2.6.2. There seems to be a few problems with upgrades. Should I stick with my current version for now. I had a P2V for about six months and lost it in a lake. I'm hoping the learning curve with the P3A will be pretty easy. Thanks for any input.
