Unfortunately I only have the return part. The plan was to splice the outward and return pieces together, as I'd turned off recording to take some snaps.

I will admit I was more than a little nervous once I'd cleared the cliff edge though! It was simply a case of forgetting the water. My Phantom hasn't let me down yet, even though I did lose the GPS lock shortly after turning round to come back in, which is why you can see the props in shot - I was gunning it!

This was taken yesterday at Trevaunance Cove beach, St Agnes, Cornwall, UK.

I know how you feel but think about this... how would going out any further have created a bigger problem. :)

The further away it is, the tricker it is to judge which way it's pointing if I lose GPS and FPV. Each time I've lost GPS mid-flight the compass / orientation display has also gone awry... but you have a point, I'm over water already, it doesn't really matter where it goes plop!
