I can't help you with the mount, but I can tell you that I mounted mine with some double sided vhb tape and so far it's been ok. That said I've only done a couple of flights since fitting it and it was cold outside.

Ravecreative, How does the blackpearl compare to the lilliput? Have you tried them side by side?

On the 14 you just set a value on the servo speed for whatever function is controlling the gimbal. I think on the 8 you need to create a mix using the motor function, wouldn't swear to it but I did find something about it on youtube, it related to flaps on a glider but somebody had used the same...

I know it doesn't help much for those using the stock controller, but it can be done easily with the Futaba 14SG.

It is the Zenmuse and I know that the video is fed up the gimbal cable and that there is a tail provided off the main board for connection to other devices in the chain. The bit I'm not sure about is how the video feed gets from the camera to the gimbal cable. I suppose I'll find out tomorrow...

I've now ordered everything I need to set up FPV, the question I have is, does the the video out cable (from GoPro to IOSD) come in the box with either the camera or the gimbal? or do I have to buy one from somewhere else? If I need to buy one can somebody steer me in the right direction please...

Another UK PPL here although no longer current. Trained at Aero's out of Gloucester and was fairly active for 5 or 6 years. Without a doubt the best thing I ever did. Flying the Phantom is almost as much fun and a whole lot cheaper.

It does, but the mix is also on a switch so it can be switched off at will. I'm using a 14sg, only had it a week, but I love it already. Edit: I also used the Dual Rate Function to reduce aileron sensitivity to 50 %, it kicks in on the same switch. I will probably tweak it down a little...
