It looks like the app automatically checks for updates when there is available internet. I think dji probably just inserted that popup into the update list. So you would see it on every drone you connect because it looks for firmware updates too.

There are a lot of vids on YouTube about replacing the LG and rebuilding the gimble. Is the body/shell in good condition?

I have a P4 and decided to go to the M2P for a camera upgrade. I'm glad I did because I dont miss the big claim shell case with the big clunky remote. Not that I wont still use my P4 or XSP though.

Its pretty neat, but I dont see why the guy sitting in it wouldnt have a set of controls. If you got caught in the fog just hit return to home.

So the Network RID would be like Standard RID, and the Broadcast RID would be like Limited RID?

I updated mine two years ago and it flys great so I would really think twice about a new update. I do think it's possible that they would want to ground the older drones.

The Phantom 4 is a pretty old drone. You wouldn't think they would still be putting out firmware updates?

Icy conditions in Iceland. Also, IMO.. I think that freezing cold weather can make the plastics of your aircraft very brittle. Just like metal, plastic can shirnk and expand with changing temperatures. There is something that can be said about a metal moter mounted to plastic parts as well...
