Wow!!! I have not observed any that tight! I wonder if somebody used Loctite on it before. The aftermarket is what I used anyway and they work fine for a tablet.
I ran into the same problem years ago. I had to very carefully drill the heads off and once the shell
was apart- use needle nose pliers to remove the stub. The screws are very soft material and you
have to have the right size phillips to even try.
Why is the gimbal hanging loose from the copter? When you start the drone the gimbal and camera
self tests and it is not going to do that laying on the table. Did you crash it?
It appears you are just outside of Washington D.C. One of the worse areas to fly in the nation. Class B to the surface. I personally would not even try to fly there. You should be glad it didn't take off.
Yes- The heat gun will work. A friend brought a Phantom by for me to look at since a
tree jumped in the way.. Using heat to just soften the plastic- the arm can be realigned.
You could not even tell it had been bent. Just go easy with the heat.
Just make sure you have some kind of release for your hook. It would be heart breaking to
have the hook get snagged in the tree and the copter hooked to it.
rebelyellNC- My DT7 radios both had auto center sticks and the copters would
stay in position (GPS mode) while you were filming. I had no trouble at all. I was
using the NAZA V2 and never had a problem.
