If you turn on Smart home in the app it draws a line between you and the craft when you switch from camera view to map view. It also shows the drone as a triangle and if you still have control you can turn the craft and point it homeward bound without needing to use land marks as references...
I take on what you’re saying about flying outside of LOS but if I have open fields in front of me with no one for miles, why would I pay €800 2 years ago just to fly within LOS. Actually why would anyone in my position pay that amount of money to fly within LOS only
You can always see where and orientation of your craft using the DJI app. Some basic things to do before you fly should help easy your fears.
1. Always try to start your flight with a fully charged battery
2. Check wind direction and speed. Try to fly away in to the wind so you have a tail...
Hi
I was wondering is there anyone out there who has had the same problem I'm having. For some unknown reason the camera on my P3P will no longer pan up and down. The gimbal will flick up and down if I press the C1 button but nothing if I use the pan wheel. I have gone in to calibration...
These are the settings on my P3P that are working fine at the moment. If you could update the app to 3.1.23( I’m using a iPad mini 2 as well) and roll back the controller to 1.9.2 maybe it would fix your problems
I had my first flight yesterday with my P3P since I updated the RC and AC to the latest FW. Now I have just a grey box where my map info should be. No map and no aircraft icon. I ran the litchi app and everything works perfectly. Anyone else having this problem?
I'll always fly my AC back using the app if possible RTH is only good If the home point was updated correctly at takeoff. RTH to me is a last and final resort.
A app only behaves as it is set up to. Is it possible to have loss of signal behaviour set to hover on litchi and loss of signal set to RTH on the DJI app?
As I said. You can always see the orientation of your craft using the app weather you have VLOS or not. I was trying to give you some advice about the app because it is evident that you need it if you get stomach twinges when you can still see your craft but visually cannot work out its...
I'm in no way trying to be condescending when I write this but, if you learn to use the DJI go app correctly you can always see the orientation of your craft ( weather it is facing at you or away from you). I regularly fly out of sight and use the app to bring my p3p home
