The Trakimo works great.I got mine from Amazon 140.00 with a year of service. So it is about the same price I keep checking mine and it is dead on as long as you have Sats.I back it up with Marco Polo.
I use the Marco Polo with the Trakimo.Just a little more insurance.Probably the 2 cost more than the Phantom. Maybe not Figure in Go Pro and FPV set up
I have a Marco Polo mounted on both my Phantoms. It is limited to 2 miles in ideal conditions .It works great. I decided to try out the Trakimo .Well I used the Trakimo while I was riding my Bicycle and it was dead on as long as I had sats.but the cell coverage only gave you a general area. I...
Yep you are right I have a P2with a gopro2 with a very lite holder and a P2V that I smacked a tree and broke the camera and replaced it with a Ready Made kit. Both fly great.2 crashes due to Pilot error. They are getting hard to find used
I run a couple of Traxxas R C cars .I am always watching motor and Battery Temp.I use fans on the motors on the cars But I would like to use one on the Phantom Battery in this heat. But where does it end .I am getting lousy flight time now
I don't walk around much when flying my P2 and the monitor gets pretty heavy after awhile So I started using a camera Tripod and it has been working pretty good
I see the VTX inside next to the battery. Any issues with heat build up .I know when I flew the last couple of days in 90* Temp. When i pulled the battery it was quite warm. And my Transmitter was on the outside and it was also warm.
Glad you have it back The only reason the bird stayed together was that the battery poped out early in the fall. Without the battery it came down like a heavy kite so the impact was minimal.I would not be surprised if the bird survived the crash. But what brought it down in the first place
I think all Phantoms should come with a Big Shot Slingshot .Unless you only fly in a desert .Your bird will eventually end up looking down at you from a tree. And when it is in your back yard and have to look up at it,It's like pouring salt on a wound.
A set of 15.00 prop guards would have saved some grief.I blasted the trunk of a tree at full tilt with my V2.My depth perception is a little off.The bird sat out for a week in the rain before I could find it in tall grass I let it dry out and it was good to go.My other tree experience with my...
I have mine Velcro and wire tied to the underside of the body. You are in good shape You could still get to the charge port. And the antenna is well exposed
It is like the tail wagging the dog .I tried my wrist sling shot. The higher you go the more string ,the heavier the object you are trying to launch. The Big shot uses a 8' pole and the rubber sling is 3/4" thick The only other option I had was a Crossbow
