Yup a mysterious black drone follows people around yet none of them have a camera phone with them. Drones certainly are the new ufos. Bring out the pitchforks.
So the people arrested are released and it seems the whole thing might have been a modern-day “ufo sighting”variant with no actual drone at the scene. Police defend Gatwick drone investigation as they refuse to rule out theory that it never existed
Wait until Nov 28th when the release of Phantom 5 is possible. The main issues with p4p for stills are: resolution lost due to geometric correction and thermal noise (in particular color noise).
The effect works best when you have some objects above the drone. The sample below is about two meters above ground level.
This is mounted using the free (but no longer maintained) Microsoft ICE. The parameters for projection are:
* Stereographic
* Roll 90 degrees
* Pitch: Optional rotation

For active track the Mavic 2 (Zoom or Pro) is a much better option. Is has sensors in all directions which is very helpful especially for low flying. Have a look at iPhonedo’s excellent YouTube review for a demonstration.
Due to the wide angle of the lens, you will only get a rather small band of full polarization gradually blending to effectively no polarization. It should help on reflections. To get deep saturation, certainly when including a clear sky, fixing in post is the best, easiest and most flexible...
Some interesting speculation as to why here:

PolarPro are usually problem free to unscrew as long as you make sure you do not squeeze anything. If any pressure is applied it might seem completely stuck. Rotating without applying pressure should do the trick.
If you loose gps signal the drone will enter atti mode and thereby drift with the wind meaning you will have to compensate manually until gps signal returns. This is a good reason to keep vlos and also do a bit of “atti training” to be prepared.
Dronedeploy supports 2d area and length measurements using annotations. Accuracy on smaller areas using the free version might be a issue depending on the demands. For 3D measurements such as tilted roof, several desktop tools are available but a cheap workflow is not easy though possible. Have...
