Do I need to reflow my controllers?

Thank you for your input. Unfortunately there is no official DJI in my country.

Do I need to reflow my controllers?

UPDATE: I just did a reflow; I used a heat gun with a small makeshift nozzle and concentrated the heat on the battery gauge chip right next to the rightmost led on the board for about 30 seconds. I used Kapton tape to insulate the surrounding components from the heat. I let it cool down for a...

Do I need to reflow my controllers?

I discharged the RC to 10% and charged it back, it stops blinking at 3 LEDs, but if I keep the charger plugged for a couple extra hours and turn it back on, it shows 4 LEDs. The app shows 86%. I disassembled the RC and tested the battery on a voltmeter, it reads 8.29V.... Does that mean the...

Do I need to reflow my controllers?

Thank you for the offer, I'll definitely keep that in mind. I'm thinking that the remote controller is not detecting the correct charge of the battery, might be due to the battery gauge chip on the board that's losing contact. I've saw it happening on many controllers online. I think I may have...

Do I need to reflow my controllers?

Thank you for replying. That's exactly what I did today: I just discharged the remote controller to 10% and charged it. It hits 3 LEDs and stops charging...

Do I need to reflow my controllers?

Thank you for replyimg. The batteries were never stored fully charged. I always make sure they are around 50% charged as per DJI's recommendation and advice from drone pilots on the forums.

Do I need to reflow my controllers?

Hello All, After a long hiatus from flying my drones (P4 with around 8 flights and a P4P with 0 flights), I was checking up on my batteries as I normally do to keep them in good shape and lo and behold I discovered a problem with both controllers: The controllers, both of them would charge to 3...

    Best firmware for P4Pro

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Do you know if I can manually install it directly? Or do I have to update to the latest firmware and then do as you did? Thanks again.

    Best firmware for P4Pro

Hello All, I have been away from my drones for a couple of years and lost all touch with DJI's firmware news. I've had a P4Pro since launch but I haven't flown it even once, but I do keep its batteries half charged and check on them from time to time. Following all the drama I last read about...

Using P4 batteries on both P4 and P4P

That's weird! Is that battery the new extended capacity?

Using P4 batteries on both P4 and P4P

Hi! I know this but my problem is that every time I switch the batteries between drones, I have to update the battery firmware. It seems the battery firmware is not in sync with P4 and P4P firmwares. I learned that DJI know about this problem and are working on a fix.

Can't connect to DJI Assistant 2

Maybe try a previous version of DJI Assistant, just a thought as I remember reading somewhere that some are having problems with version 1.0.9 and Windows 10.

Using P4 batteries on both P4 and P4P

Hi All, I have a P4 with spare batteries and all firmware is up to date. I just got a P4P and figured I 'd use the P4 batteries with it. I upgraded the firmware on the P4P and when i inserted my P4 batteries in, it showed the "inconsistent firmware found" notification on all of them so i updated...

RAW is processed, JPG is not

I hope your comment about "people chirping and claiming to be photographers" is not aimed at me. Cos you don't know the first thing about me or what I do or I've been doing for the last 20 years for a living. I just hope so. Let's keep this civil guys. Many posters in this thread stated wrong...

RAW is processed, JPG is not

Exactly!! It's impossible in theory, unless there was something wrong with the camera saving the file. The OP is saying that in his case it is happening! And by the looks of it, it seems so. Maybe it's a software bug in his drone, maybe not. Again, not starting a futile discussion nor beating a...
