When you try firmware upgrade it writes a text log file on the sd card, either sucess or fail and usually for what reason if no reason or no text file is when i reformat the sd card. The only thing on the sd card should be the the firmware file. Not sure if thats a must but worked for me after...

Try reformat the sd card and reinstall firmware on it... and make sure your holding your mouth open the right way. ..hahaha That worked for me. Goodluck.

If its just video lag which i suspect it is, it will be the device your using. I had similar problem with 1 min lag on video feed. I now use a dedicated tablet with nothing but djo go on it. Make sure memory is not full and not running other apps. See if that makes a difference.

All sorted thanks. It was years ago i was updating firmware and was almost positive i had an app on my pc to do it.... but now im thinking thats not the case. My p3s still has not upgraded fw since.. born again noob..lol

Welcome mate Im noobish also, ive been flying for a few years though but from noob to noob i will give you my take on it. Phantom 3 standard is cheap 2.7k video and that looks sensational, still has the extra flight modes like follow me, limited in range my video cut out aboit 1km away but...

Good news the p3a is back in the air. I ended up pluging gimble into pc and tried that way. From what i can tell i was not so much the difference in firmware, more the length of time it was not updated. Thanks so much for everyones help.

I cant find how to update rc firmware, tried inside djigo app even the instructions on how to update the rc dont actually tell you how to do it, thats insane, i can not find the right app for pc, i tried assistant2 it asked for a license number, what license number? Im sure it was not this hard...

Its been a couple of years since ive had to connect bird to pc, ive a new pc so installed assistant 2 and its asking for a license number to activate account. That is after i put in dji account name and password. What is this license number and where would i find it.. Thanks in advance

Thanks for all the help guys, a great bunch here. Ive got to setup pc to connect to bird, i will sort the firmware out first and give it a shot if not good il extract the dat files. I have recalibrated rc and clicked gimble calibrate but nothing seemed to happen for gimble, it does spin...
