ATTI is nothing to be scared of. On a calm day with little wind take your bird up above everything around you and switch it to ATTI mode and don't touch anything. It will drift with the wind. If it's drifting away from you turn it so it's facing away from you and pull back on the right stick...

Keep in mind that what you see as plain and ordinary other people will be interested in. I see seaweed and water others see a spectacular landscape. Seeing other parts of the world is awesome.

Before the new regulations came out in March or April, whenever it was, the wording was that drones used for commercial use were called UAVs. Can't find it now in the recreational regulations. Probably need a SFOC (Getting permission to fly your drone - Transport Canada) from Transport Canada...

I had to use a sewing needle to poke the end of the sd card in my P3P when it was new. Don't push the needle through the plastic just enough for it to get a grip, then pry it out. The sd card popped in and out normally after that.

Take it slow and fly higher than anything around you. Stay positioned with the UAV facing away from you so that left is still left and right is still right. Relax and have fun. Edit: Oh yeah, stay in P Mode too.

Practice flying until your comfortable up close then keep moving out farther. When you can fly at half or more of your max distance without getting nervous and sweaty you'll be ready to start reading the "HELP, my drone fell out of the sky" threads. Don't read any of those before or you'll...
