Agreed - too many places within range of airports. I believe you mentioned this to me when I first reached out so thanks again. Do you ever have issues with park police there or any issues with low flying aircraft? Even with the drone at ~200 feet I know the planes aren’t flying that low but...

I thought they couldn’t deny you flight? My understanding was that you were just notifying them to let them know and how they could contact you if needed (in case of emergency or something).

Appreciate the feedback. There are some low flying aircraft, but my understanding is that the P3A can do approximately 3 miles given you have VLOS so I may just try to get near that road bridge to get some good footage once I get comfortable flying it more than 100-200 feet away from me...

I tried calling 1 heliport in the area and they said I don't have to call them to notify so I just didn't bother calling the rest. After this flight though I may call some others because there are some low flying birds and aircraft in that area.

I put together my first video last week of some footage I captured over a nice park in Secaucus, NJ. Nothing terribly exciting, but just a bit of practice with taking footage that looks good from the drone and some editing practice in Final Cut Pro (transitions, marking, color grading, etc)...

Stopped at a location that had no airspace restrictions that some had recommended in Secaucus, NJ and grabbed these shots. Really excited with how they came out considering this was one of my first flights with my (new to my) P3A and my first flight with the intent of taking some photographs...

I was originally going to buy a P3S but after some reading (actually a lot of reading) I realized that the P3A is the better purchase especially if I really enjoy the hobby but don’t want to upgrade ASAP.

What great scenery & a great video. The colors are perfect and I love that you add the sound of the waterfall in the train over the music when you hit those spots in the video. Great work!

Oh I wasn't aware stress cracks were a thing, but I have Googled it and found some pictures that indicate what those might look like so I will be doing a full visual inspection upon receipt of the drone. Oh this is awesome - I have downloaded the manuals to my iPhone for lunch-time reading...
