Can't seem to find a topic on this. I'm surprised that people aren't upset that the legs appear into the gopro shot when you turn the drone- this happens ALOT! Also propellers sticking into the picture. Not to mention the leg can into view when the gopro is pointed straight down.
I bought a...
I am planning on launching the P2 about 12 floors up on a rooftop, and eventually have it descend downwards to the ground below.
What could be the problems? GPS ?
I'm not planning on flying it far or use the home button. Is there any thing I should know about starting the drone way up?
Aside from the Tiger Motors, or is this it?
And would you consider a motor upgrade one of the essentials, or over rated?

While it has always been legal to fly model planes, the Federal Aviation Administration and other government agencies recently picked a fight with the newest generation of model planes: drones.

The Vas Helical had very little clutter and I only managed 350 meters before picture started breaking and fizzing out and so I brought it back.
The added spironets had some trees but I didn't max it out. I saw a little breaking in the picture, got scared and brought it back. Will do a complete...
Immersion 600 with the Blackpearl.
Vas 3-turn Helical- only got it out to 350 meters.
Then added the Fat Shark spironets with the Vas 3-turn Helical. Got it out to 550 meters.
Definitely no where near the 1000 meter mark. Even with all of these fancy antennas.
Using Blackpearl and- Immersion RC - 600 mW Transmitter - 5.8 GHz
All stock except for a VAS 3-turn Helical antenna on the Blackpearl,
Signal breaks up at roughly 300-350 or so...so far maxed out at about 400 meters.
Awaiting new TS/TS spironets to see if there are any improvements. It...
It was definitely the wind- as you can hear the gusts take over on the video. about 30-40kmph winds. Knowing this, I probably will not go above 25-30 again.
Crashed it twice in a large empty park. Both times when it was windy, the drone lost control due to a gust of wind at about 20 feet off the ground. Having lost view of the phantom and looking into my FPV, I thought that it had smashed into bits. But the drone was intact and good to fly...
