That leaf type spring in the picture is the older style. The newer style spring which is thought to be superior is a coil type spring around the center metal post. Here's a pic of the newer style which is currently available at dji

When I first got mine I was testing out watching a couple movies with them and the movie Gravity although incredible to watch using the goggles connected to a blu-ray player, definitely made me dizzy. Flying did too at first but not as much.

I also got the 3.5's from DJI about a week and a half ago and they are nice, so much better than monkeying around with readers and they fit into the goggles very nice.

I do not know much about photography/videography but recently was reading up on frame rate myself. What I took away from this is 24 FPS is what is used in the movies, if you want your videos to feel like a movie use this, this has the most motion blur, obviously. 30 FPS gives more of a video...

The corrective lenses seem to be back in stock, just ordered a set. Can't wait to not use the readers anymore!

I wonder if there was really something wrong with your goggles, I got a pair a couple weeks ago and image quality is absolutely fantastic. It is like sitting front and center in an IMAX theater. The headband isn't the most comfortable and they do get a little heavy after wearing them for a while...

I purchased it a few years ago when 4K TV's were pretty new so it seems to be one of those limitations. It has several HDMI ports labeled 4K and it can play streaming 4K such as Amazon Prime. Honestly though even on a 70" screen it's hard for me to tell the difference between a good full HD...

On my 4K TV the highest res video file on a memory card or thumb drive it will play is full HD 1920x1080.

Yeah this bugs me a little too, make the unit setting global for crying out loud. To the original poster-sorry to hear about your crash.
