For any new readers finding this thread in 2017 or beyond, please do homework before doing any business with Matt Neary or Neary-Aerial.com. Matt is a con artist and scammer. Neary Aerial is not fulfilling its contracts. Consumers beware!

I wonder if any charges or an investigation can be initiated through the Federal Trade Commission? Being that he was fraudulently charging people from outside of his state.... this seems more like a Matter for the Feds, not Kentucky. Always file a local police report to have a statement and...

Your VPS (Visual Positioning System) altitude reading will give you a more accurate altitude reading when you're below 50ft or so. It uses a combination of optical and sonar data to give you a more accurate altitude reading when flying near ground or obstacles. If VPS is giving you bad data...

Does the gimbal work when the app is disconnected? Also, please try reformatting the micro sd card (preferably inside the phantom if possible) and restart the bird and controller. Let us know!

Sure does! I turn my sensors when flying well above obstacles and in the bright sun for this exact reason. Also, fly's much smoother during low altitude flying -- but with much additional risk, of course!

Maybe it would be beneficial if the OP posted flight logs for analysis? Maybe one of us could help him build a case to present to DJI that would result in replacement.

I don't believe DJI Care covers instances where the drone is not recoverable to send in for repair or replacement. I agree with some of the other posters. When the app crashes, or you notice there are problems -- that's the very first sign that it's time to bring the bird in and figure things...

Nothing to report back at this time. I have had slightly better luck when adjusting camera settings down to 720p 30fps. I'd set the max resolution and framerate of whatever service you are streaming to accepts, and your internet connection can keep up with.

Bummer! Sometimes it's something as simple as that. Is it possible to recalibrate your gimbal before takeoff?
